As head of the Team, she is responsible for the strategic leadership of the Customer Understanding practice and a dynamic portfolio of Design projects across the enterprise.
For the past 15 years, she has led multi-disciplinary teams at startups, design studios and organizations of all scales, creating products and services ranging from food systems, healthcare, media, education, finance, civic innovation.
Brooks lectures and teaches internationally on the theme of design toward social innovation and systems thinking. She is an active essayist, a published author, and serves as a mentor for numerous social enterprise incubators. She served as a 2014-2015 Presidential Innovation Fellow. And In 2016 Brooks was named one of DC’s 50 Powerful Women in Design by FemTech. She holds a BA from Boston University, a BFA from California College of the Arts.
