Andrew Shea

Andrew Shea is founder of MANY, a communication design studio in New York that collaborates on civic, cultural, and cause-based projects.

He serves as Assistant Professor of Integrated Design at Parsons The New School for Design, where he teaches classes on topics like design for behavior change, creative placemaking, and visualizing urban policy. He wrote the book Designing for Social Change: Strategies for Community Based Design and was co-editor of LEAP Dialogues: Career Pathways in Design for Social Innovation. His design and writing has been featured by publications like Fast Company, Slate, Design Observer, 99 Percent Invisible, Core77, and Impact Design Hub. He often speaks about design, including at TEDx Transmedia in Rome and has served on several advisory boards. In 2011, he received the Ideas that Matter design grant. www.manydesign.org
