Ultracast Viva™ sets a new standard for sustainability from North America

In April 2020, Sappi North America launched Ultracast Viva™, a textured release paper line that embodies our commitment to sustainability for a thriving world. 

In an industry first, we created the first premium high-fidelity casting paper compatible with solvent-free systems. Ultracast Viva™ is now the new standard for high-fidelity polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyurethane (PU), semi-PU and solvent-free casting systems.

There is a global movement to limit or eliminate solvent-based casting systems to reduce chemical waste and pollution. Ultracast Viva™ is the answer for customers looking for more responsible solutions.

Performance improvements include reduced curl, increased reusability and easier handling with expanded temperature limits for polyvinyl chloride (PVC), semi-polyurethane (PU) and 100% PU including aqueous chemistry. Early adopters have reported:
