WorldSkills 2013 will bring together 13 finalists to compete in the Print Media Technology category. Drawn to the trade by the love of machinery, graphic design or even parental influence, each finalist has his or her own personal relationship with paper. In its first appearance at FachPack, Sappi Fine Paper Europe will be making a splash with a unique presentation of its high-end packaging materials. Bringing new meaning to the term “trade dress,” Sappi has created a magnificent paper gown consisting of packages in various forms.
Tackling key market issues such as reduced packaging weight, savings in process costs and food safety as well as showcasing ways to elevate brand perception will be the focus of Sappi Europe’s presence at FEFCO’s Technical Seminar, the Bella Center and Bella Sky Hotel in Copenhagen, Denmark on 22 to 24 October 2013.

Antilope Cardboard - a division of the Antilope graphical media group, based in Lier Belgium has won the Ecma Award 2013 in the Beauty & Cosmetics category. Antilope's choice to use Sappi’s Algro Design bright white carton board and the use of special digital finishing technologies resulted in a beautifully intricate perfume packaging.
