Sappi is offering innovative flexible packaging papers with integrated heat sealing properties and no or low barrier functionality.
The Seal range
These papers were developed specifically for secondary packaging, but some contain barriers for products with very low or no barrier requirements, such as sugar and non-food products. All papers are mono-material and recyclable within the paper waste stream. Thanks to the integrated heat saeling properties, there is no need to apply special coatings or laminations.
Seal Light
One side single coated (glossy) or uncoated (natural) paper with heat sealable varnish on the reverse side. Designed for standard flexible packaging (food & non-food markets), which requires heat sealing properties (primary & secondary packaging).
Seal Lucent
Uncoated translucent paper with heat sealable varnish on the reverse side. Designed for standard flexible packaging applications (food and non-food markets), which requires heat sealing properties and translucency (primary & secondary packaging).
Seal Natural
Uncoated paper with heat-sealable varnish on the reverse side. Designed for standard flexible packaging (food and non-food markets), which requires heat sealing properties (primary & secondary packaging).
Seal Silk
One side single coated silky paper with heat sealable varnish on the reverse side. Designed for standard flexible packaging (food & nonfood markets), which requires heat sealing properties (primary & secondary packaging).
