The largest dedicated event for the label and packaging printing industry in the US comes to Chicago in September – and Sappi will be at stand 450.
Sappi will travel to Chicago to present at this year’s LOUPE Americas exhibition, taking stand 450 from 15 to 17 September – and bringing a rich product portfolio and strong message to this year’s first edition of the heir to Labelexpo Americas.
“Renewable, reliable, ready” is the Sappi theme for an event dedicated to exploring the hidden depths of labels and packaging printing. And an extensive Sappi product portfolio for self-adhesive and wet glue label papers, release liners and flexible packaging will be showcased in detail and in style at this year’s massive, reinvented event.
The right face stock for every market need
Sappi’s self-adhesive label solutions for home care, beauty and personal care, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, transport and logistics, and office will all be highlighted.
Parade Face is Sappi's portfolio of premium face stock papers for pressure-sensitive label applications – designed to deliver outstanding print quality, excellent converting performance and strong shelf appeal. Manufactured to meet the demands of both brand owners and converters, the range offers high brightness, opacity, stiffness, resilience and reliable runnability in a broad range of surfaces – making it suitable for a wide variety of end uses.
Parade Face benefits include…
- Excellent printing, die-cutting and dispensing properties
- Outstanding brightness with consistent high quality
- Compatible with embossing, foiling and metallisation to unlock creative finishes
- High operation speed and conversion process
- High shelf impact for brand quality and differentiation
- From a reliable partner: products and support designed for success
The security of certainty in wet glue labels
The brand essence of Sappi’s Parade Label wet glue label papers, meanwhile, is defined by a certainty that stands out in a production environment characterised by high speed and complex variables.
At the show, attendees will be able to explore and assess key Parade Label product pillars…
- Operational predictability: Engineered for high-speed performance, providing balanced stiffness, controlled absorbency and reliable lay-flat behaviour. Ensures “smooth runs on press” and prevents line stops.
- Brand integrity from press to shelf: High-quality surfaces (available in Gloss or Linen) that guarantee brilliant print sharpness and high whiteness. Protects brand promise even in demanding moist or chilled environments.
- Regulatory implementation partner: Beyond aesthetics, Parade Label is also a functional tool for navigating the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). Its superior surface allows for precise readability of mandatory consumer information on increasingly compact label formats.
- Technical authority, industrial solidity and sustainability plus reliability of supply: The latest investments and developments at Sappi’s Gratkorn Mill demonstrate Sappi’s expertise and commitment to the labels market and its customers
Global products, global ambitions in release liners
Sappi is also presenting its portfolio of CCK and glassine paper-based release liners in Chicago. Prospects and customers will be able to explore the outstanding siliconization properties of solutions used in applications such as self-adhesive labels, visual communication, adhesive tapes and office supplies.
A particular focus for the event will be Sol BCK, a release liner developed specifically for the American market and designed for visual communication, industrial applications and adhesive tape products.
Sol BCK also offers a significantly improved carbon footprint and enhanced recyclability by eliminating plastic coating, alongside substantial cost savings compared with commonly used PCK (Polyethylene Coated Kraft) release liners.
Initial applications have already confirmed the clear advantages of Sol BCK over PCK, including a reduction in CO₂ emissions of more than 50%.
Superb protection and uncompromising efficiency in flexible packaging
Alongside all this, Sappi will also be showcasing its broad portfolio of Functional Papers for flexible packaging. These recyclable, mono-material papers – including high-barrier, barrier and heat-sealable grades – have been developed to help brand owners meet increasingly stringent packaging regulations. These innovative solutions offer a paper-based alternative to plastic and multilayer films, fully suited to the demands of today’s high-speed manufacturing lines.
Sappi solutions: Renewable, reliable, ready
Sappi’s theme for the Chicago event reflects who the company is and what it stands for – and the value Sappi is dedicated to delivering to the label, release liner and flexible packaging market every day.
Renewable speaks to Sappi’s commitment to responsible sourcing and sustainable paper solutions that support a more circular economy.
Reliable reflects the consistent quality, dependable supply and proven performance Sappi products represent and that customers can count on.
Ready represents Sappi’s forward-looking approach to innovation and partnership. Because it’s through collaboration, expertise and insight that Sappi is committed to helping its partners achieve their goals – and drive long-term success.
