Xenophobia (fear of foreigners) has erupted in riots and violence in South Africa, bringing hardship to the daily lives of refugees and migrants.
The Kgosi Neighborhood Foundation in Johannesburg has launched Together+, a campaign aimed at combating xenophobia through education and community development. University of Notre Dame design students have joined forces with the foundation to produce print materials that educate young South Africans about xenophobia as well as provide informational resources to refugees and migrants about their legal rights under the South African constitution and to services such as healthcare.
