Sappi Fine Paper Hosts 2012 Green Community Day August 11th

BOSTON – Sappi Fine Paper North America today announced it will be hosting the first annual 2012 Green Community Day, a fun, informative and activity-packed day held on August 11, 2012 at the Sappi Westbrook paper mill. Aimed at educating local residents on how they can positively impact the environment, Sappi's Green Community Day will invite the community to participate in hands-on activities and interactive displays for the entire family.

Safety

Additional activities include face painting, technology demonstrations, wildlife information, and volunteer opportunities. Free recycling facilities will be available on-site to help keep personal documents, CD's, used sneakers, eyeglasses and other electronics out of the waste stream and turn them around to be reused or recycled.

Attendees can also enter to win raffle prizes and giveaways including VISA gift cards the day of the event. Collect raffle tickets at vendor and informational booths, which will be drawn at 1:30 p.m.

Admission to the 2012 Green Community Day is free and open to the public with one non-perishable food item. All food collected will be directly donated to local food pantries.
