With 4 collection rounds spread over the year, 11 different printing categories, and no limit to the number of entries for each of those categories, it’s been a difficult yet very rewarding challenge to define the short list for the 2012 Sappi Printers of the Year competition. The task has been accomplished and Sappi Fine Paper Europe is delighted to announce the 123 finalists from over a 1000 entries, representing 22 countries. With the high quality and large variety of entries shortlisted, our independent panel of judges will have their work cut out next month when the winners are finally selected!
Well established amongst the international printing community since 1985, the Sappi
European Printers of the Year awards encourage printers to find the best processes, find the
best papers and find the best combination of experience and graphic materials to achieve the
best results for their customers. It is of great importance to Sappi to recognise printers who
give their utmost and set increasingly higher standards in print excellence.
Making it onto the short list is the penultimate stage in the competition. The judges will meet
one final time from 5 to 7 March 2012 to decide on the overall winners with the final
announcement to be communicated by the end of March.
The 2012 shortlist is as follows:
