Sappi Europe has announced the implementation of a dedicated fuel surcharge of €20 per ton for orders invoiced on or after 16 November 2026. This measure applies in Europe in addition to existing contractual base pricing.
Faced with sustained cost inflation across freight networks, mill operations, and essential raw materials that can no longer be absorbed internally in full, this surcharge is being implemented to absorb parts of the volatile short-term cost spikes and ensure production and supply continuity.
Operating dynamically alongside structural base price adjustments, the surcharge will be reviewed regularly and remains adjustable in line with underlying market cost dynamics.
