On your marks, get set, go! SEPOTY 2014 kicks off new online registration platform
After nearly 30 years in existence, one of the most established printing competitions in Europe is still making improvements for the thousands of entrants it welcomes during each edition. With its new online registration platform now available, the 2014 edition of SEPOTY (the Sappi European Printers of the Year) is ready and awaiting your entries.
In existence since 1985, SEPOTY awards encourage printers to find the best processes, find the best papers and find the best combination of experience and graphic materials to achieve the best results for their customers. It is of great importance to Sappi to recognise printers who give their utmost and set increasingly higher standards in print excellence, demonstrating that print continues to be a vital and relevant medium.
Entering one or more of the 11 categories, could not be any easier as a result of the improvements that have been made for this 2014 edition. Entrants need simply to go to the designated webpage www.sappi.com/printersoftheyear, choose their language and click on ‘Participate.’ Following this a number of required fields need to be completed, before simple submission through the web. Copies of the submission can simply be printed off to accompany entries, which need to be delivered to local Sappi sales offices.
The closing date for SEPOTY 2014 is January 31st 2014; publications for this round need to have been printed between January 2012 and December 2013. Inaddition to the Blue Green Award which celebrates the power of print in expressing and stimulating engagement for meaningful causes, the printing categories are as follows: Annual reports; Books; Brochures; Calendars; Digital print; General print; Magazines (sheetfed); Magazines (web); Packaging and labels; and Printer’s own promotion. All entries must be commercially printed on, or mainly on, a Sappi grade of paper. With no limit to the number of submissions, there is great opportunity for printers to demonstrate their printing excellence.
Designed specifically so that Sappi can get to know the people behind the winning entries, the local SEPOTY award celebrations held throughout Europe in 2012 were a great success. We’re looking forward to using the same approach in 2014!
