After a year’s absence due to Covid, the Luxe Pack will once again bring the best packaging and packaging materials manufacturers together under one roof from 27 to 29 September at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. Innovation leader Sappi will be there to showcase its high-quality paperboard product Algro Design alongside its new, upmarket Fusion Nature Plus virgin fibre liner.

Commenting on the group’s results, Sappi Chief Executive Officer Steve Binnie said: “We have seen a significant improvement in market conditions in the majority of our trading regions during the quarter. This contributed to a material increase in quarter-on-quarter EBITDA and an overall return to profit of US$18 million.”

Sappi Europe announces a price increase for Transjet, Basejet and Inkjet grades by 8-12% valid for deliveries from 1 September 2021.

The ongoing rise of raw material costs, particularly pulp, chemicals and energy in combination with extremely high freight rates due to global logistic constraints make further price adjustments unavoidable.
