Encouraging children’s creativity – Budapest Sales Office

Yes, we care.

Because creativity can be used to raise awareness about our environment, whilst also forging greater links with local communities. ‘Recycled History’ is an innovative competition hosted and designed by Ipress Center in Vác, Hungary, to encourage children to investigate and recreate the history of their town through the medium of waste paper and board.

10 teams from 6 schools built 2 metre high scale models of Vác’s significant buildings from waste paper and board generated by the printer. Through the experience, the teams learned new things about their town and community, as well as the importance and potential of recycling.

To complete the sustainable forest trail, Sappi selected a team to visit the Gratkorn Mill to show them the paper-making process. It was a great opportunity for the children to see and learn where paper comes from, how it is made, and the many ways in which it can be used with a bit of creativity and environmental awareness.

We make Sappi eco-effective. How about you?
