Sappi 2018 Calendar - Cover Feature

Artwork, inspiration and artist

Inspiration:

Every forest has mother trees that provide the younger trees with nutrients and resources. Inspired by the interconnectedness through the trees' roots, three capsules shaped by Birch boards, highlight the contrast between processed and raw. Two capsules feature on the cover and the third as a line drawing on the theme page. Each capsule explores growth in nature and the world we live in, where we can forever capture what it really means to move forward together as one.
