The goal of Art Works Projects is to raise awareness of human rights and environmental issues through design and the arts.

Art Works undertook a multi-media, multi-channel print initiative called “Women Between Peace and War: Afghanistan” to provide advocacy tools to stakeholders working for Afghani women and girls and to develop new constituencies to ensure their rights are not forgotten, no matter how the U.S. and other foreign country engagement develops in the region. Combined with seed funding from UNIFEM Afghanistan, the Ideas that Matter grant enables Art Works to expand the web project into an international initiative that reaches important audiences who can garner funding and political support for the women and girls who need it most.
