Certifications

Blowing our own trumpet is easy. Without the control of a third party, we can say pretty much what we like.

Our management systems combine safety, health, environment and quality. This integrated approach enables us to control every dimension of our business. That’s why we are so proud to present these certifications in this document.

They are official and independent certification schemes. They ensure that our paper comes from sustainable forest and controlled sources; we safeguard biodiversity; we reduce our reliance on fossil fuels; we increase the use of renewable energy within our production processes; we strive to further reduce our emissions; and we promote the sustainable use of raw materials, energy and water.

Additionally, EMAS (European Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) registration recognises us as an organisation that goes beyond minimal legal compliance, continuously improves its environmental performance and is fully transparent in its actions. We proudly display these logos and consider them the highest distinction of everybody’s work and commitment here at Sappi.

Sappi. Eco. Effective.
