Sappi Fine Paper North America is the leading manufacturer of coated fine paper in North America, with an annual capacity of approximately 1.2 million tons of coated fine, specialty, and technical papers. Our company is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, and has four paper mills located in Maine, Michigan, and Minnesota.
From these four mills, some of the industry's most well-known and requested brands originate, including McCoy, Strobe, Lustro, Vintage, Somerset, and Belgrade.
Since its founding as the S D Warren Company in 1854, Sappi Fine Paper North America has built a solid reputation for innovation and quality and is responsible for many industry 'firsts'.

Our commitment to the community
Sappi Fine Paper North America is responsive to the needs of the communities in which we operate. We partner with America's Promise and Reading is Fundamental, and we were awarded the Maine Governor's Service Award in 2001 for outstanding volunteerism. We firmly believe in investing both money and time in our local communities. Employees can take up to 24 hours of paid time off each year to volunteer. We also support the design community in its effort to serve charitable causes. Since 1999, Sappi has sponsored the Ideas that Matter program, which provides grants of up to US$50,000 to designers each year to create and implement projects for the non-profit organizations of their choice.

Sappi Fine Paper North America applies the principles of ISO 14001 and complies with the environmental and health principles developed and monitored by the American Forest & Paper Association.
